About Me: My passion for sport and exercise led me to a change in career and in 2002 I began to pursue a career within a sport and exercise environment. This started with me completing an MSc in Sport Sciences at Brunel University, London. This gave me a good grounding in the principles of sport science which underpin coaching and I have since built on these principles. Since 2002 I have also completed my British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Coaching certificate, the YMCA Fit Personal Trainer Level 3 qualification and the ASA Level 2 swimming qualification. I am a keen sports person. I have raced triathlon at all distances including Ironman, Half-ironman, Standard (Olympic) and Sprint distance. Additionally I have completed long distance run and bike races including the Rotterdam Marathon and the Etape de Tour.
My experience: My recent experience includes coaching athletes from beginners wanting to complete their first sprint triathlon, to more experienced endurance and elite athletes wanting to improve their performances, qualify and compete at major championships at sprint, olympic, 70.3 and ironman races. I have also coached a large number of marathon runners and endurance cyclists and swimmers. Some of the recent coaching highlights include guiding relative novices to become standard and long distance age group internationals.
